In the spirit of global empowerment and an end to violence against women and girls, Atlanta artist Paul Chelko established The Chelko Foundation. Honoring his late wife and inspiration Debbie, the Foundation provides scholarships and grants for deserving women in the arts.
“One Woman Rising” was commissioned in 2013 by The Chelko Foundation to honor the participants in Eve Ensler’s first global call to action to end violence against women and girls.
