We’ll follow the band as we second line across 14th Street to the W Hotel to wine and dine in a way that is truly New Orleanian.
Swimming Upstream tells the story of women before, during and after Hurricane Katrina. This project was incubated and coordinated through the Ashé Cultural Arts Center and V-Day with Eve Ensler, playwright of The Vagina Monologues.
Directed by Kenny Leon and featuring Jasmine Guy, Shirley Knight, Kerry Washington and the women of New Orleans.
